Our Fleetio integration allows tracker data to sync directly with your fleet management platform, helping you monitor vehicle usage, maintenance, faults, and location with less manual input and improved accuracy.
Follow the steps below to set up your Fleetio integration.
Fleetio Setup
- Locate Your Fleetio API Credentials.
- Log in to your Fleetio account.
- Navigate to ‘Settings.’
- Select ‘Manage API Keys’ from the left-hand menu.
- Locate the following credentials:
- API Key
- API Token
- Provide the following information to Support to enable the integration:
- Fleetio API Key
- Fleetio API Token
These credentials must be supplied by you and are required for the integration to be successfully configured.
Fleetio Sync Process
When the Fleetio job runs each night, the following steps take place:
- All active Fleetio vehicles are matched with all active Linxup vehicles by VIN.
- Fleetio vehicle odometers are updated for all matched vehicles with updated Linxup odometers.
A VIN mismatch can prevent Fleetio from associating incoming tracker data with the correct vehicle, which will stop odometer, location, and fault data from syncing.
NOTE: If tracker data is not appearing in Fleetio, verify that the VIN is entered correctly and matches in both your Linxup portal and in Fleetio.
How to Verify Data is Syncing in Fleetio
After the integration is enabled, you can confirm that data is being received in several locations within Fleetio.
- Meter History (Odometer Updates)
- Navigate to an individual vehicle or use the left menu to access ‘Meter History.’
- The ‘Source’ field should display ‘API.’
- Updates should occur after every trip.
NOTE: The system will only update the odometer in Fleetio if the Fleetio value is less than the Linxup tracker odometer value.

- Last Known Location
- Navigate to ‘Vehicle’ then ‘Overview.’
- The last known vehicle location will appear here.
- Any associated faults may also be displayed on this screen.

- Fault Codes (DTCs)
- Navigate to the ‘Faults’ section.
- Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the tracker will populate here once syncing is active.

Troubleshooting Tips
- Confirm VIN matches exactly in both systems.
- Ensure the correct API Key and Account Token were provided.
- Verify Meter History ‘Source’ shows ‘API.’
- Check Vehicle Overview for location updates and faults.
If your data is still not appearing after verification, contact Support and include your Fleetio credentials and vehicle VIN for further investigation.
