Frequently Asked Questions
How do I install batteries in my long term asset tracker?
Lithium thionyl chloride (LTC) AA batteries have been included with your device. With a 2x per day ping rate, LTC batteries will last 3-4 years.
It is very important to use 1.5V Lithium, or 3.6V Lithium thionyl chloride (LTC) AA batteries. LTC batteries not only offer a longer life, but can withstand higher temperatures. We do not recommend the use of normal alkaline batteries, which will only power the ATLT for a few weeks of operation.
NOTE: INSTALL THE BATTERIES CAREFULLY. The tracker does not have reverse voltage protection, so installing batteries backwards can damage your device.
The springs are the negative terminals.
How do I replace the batteries?
Replacement batteries can be found from the following resources:
SAFT LS14500, AA, 3.6V, 2600mAh Li-SOCl2 (Li-SOCl2 is the same as LTC.)
TADIRAN TL-5903/S, AA, 3.6V,2.4Ah, LTC
PKCELL ER14505-2400, AA, 3.6V, 2.4Ah, LiSOCl2
EEMB ER14505, AA, 3.6V, 2600mAh, Li-SOCl2
Jauch Quartz ER14505J-S, AA, 3.6V, 2.6Ah, LTC

How do I troubleshoot the ATLT?
To reset the ATLT, note how the batteries are installed before removing them. Once you remove the batteries from the device, wait 1 minute before reinstalling them exactly as they were.
