Connecting Integration Pairing Whip Around Assets with GPS Devices Whip Around Integrated Customer Experience

Whip Around is an easy-to-use fleet preventive maintenance software for drivers, mechanics, and managers.

Whip Around improves your vehicle and equipment uptime by keeping your inspections, work orders, and fleet health data connected.

NOTE: Update your odometer in Linxup to ensure the data flows as expected into Whip Around.

Connecting Integration

Select ‘Setup’ from the top toolbar and ‘Integrations’ from the left menu.
Select ‘CONNECT’ to populate the API key input box.

Follow the steps linked in the pop up box to locate your API key on Whip Around.

The next few steps are what you will see in the Whip Around Portal:

On the top right-hand side under the account name, select the dropdown and click on ‘Permissions.’

Under the ‘API Management’ tab, select ‘Create An API Key.’

Upon clicking ‘Create An API Key,’ a pop-up will appear where you will need to enter in the Name of the API Key as well as select ‘Linxup’ for the Third Party Application. Then select ‘Create.’

Select ‘Copy’ to copy the API Key for the newly created API Key.

Return to Linxup, enter your API key, and select ‘LINK ACCOUNT.’

You will see a “Success!” confirmation when your integration has been connected.
- You can close this box and remain on the Integrations tab, or you can navigate directly to ‘Tracker Setup’ to pair your Whip Around assets with your Linxup devices.

Pairing Whip Around Assets with GPS Devices

Select ‘Setup’ from the top toolbar and ‘Tracker Setup’ from the left menu.

Locate the tracker you would like to pair with your Whip Around asset and select the edit pencil to populate the ‘Edit Tracker’ box.
Select the Whip Around asset you would like to pair with this tracker from the ‘Whip Around Asset’ dropdown menu.

NOTE: If the Whip Around asset matches a VIN on a Linxup GPS device, it will automatically be paired to that GPS device. This is editable.

If the selected Whip Around asset is already paired with a tracker, you will see a pop up offering to cancel or override this selection.
- Select ‘CANCEL’ to return to the ‘Edit Tracker’ pop up or select ‘OVERRIDE’ to complete the assignment.

Select ‘SAVE’ to apply the assignment changes you have chosen.
- Complete this step for as many trackers that need to be linked.
